Meet Daniel

2008 was an interesting year for a lot of us. For me it was less about the housing market and more about a chat I got from a friend offering to teach me SEO.

“What’s SEO…?” I replied.

Little did I know, that question would become one I’d spend the next 16 years chasing through work with startups, churches, international ecommerce brands and publicly traded corporate monoliths.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization - the art of tuning a website to be appealing to Google’s ranking algorithm for natural, non-ad results. And it’s been a wild ride, one I’d never trade. The more I learned about Google’s algorithm, the ranking updates they roll out, and changes in user behavior, the more questions I had. And so my love for the cat and mouse game of SEO was born. The game has become an ever evolving journey of learning and improving to stay two steps ahead of what people and Google want.

Some of my experience includes:

  • Thousands of hours testing SEO theories with real-world data.

  • Helping grow startups with only the most essential, high ROI SEO strategies

  • Growing a bootstrapped startup from a team of 4 to an 8 figure acquisition

  • Taking a brand to a $1.1 billion dollar IPO

But the thing I’ve come to love the most is helping teach people the ins and outs of SEO and marketing.

I enjoy showing friends and colleagues that SEO is not a black box or wizardry. That there are practical steps anyone can take to improve their rankings in a search result.

I coach and strategize brand/website growth focused on what people are looking for. When you focus on people, then Google’s bots and social algorithms tend to follow.
